athaletics carnival

Last Friday we had our sports Carnival its were every school goes out of there way to let children go in races and participate. Our school Carnival was at Oliver green sporting club. There are three teams Mackillop, Steel and Oshea and the colour for each one is Mackillop green, Steel red and Oshea blue. I'm in mackillop which has won since i was in mackillop which is 6years and more.

World Cup

This June World Cup. The 2010 World Cup has been going on in South Africa. The World Cup happens every 4 years in different countries. Australia, Germany, Serbia and Ghana are in group D with, Germany and Ghana are coming first with 3 point's each with Ghana beating Serbia with 1 goal and Germany flogging Australia with a 4-0 win. Every win is 3points, every draw is 1point and a lose is 0 points. Australia lost Tim Cahill with a red card and he will be not be able to play against Ghana. For Australia to qualify we have to win against Ghana and at least draw against Serbia.

Sports Carnival

On the 18Th of june is our sports carnival.
I am in mackillop which is the colour green that we have to wear.
I love the sport carnivals they are fun!.
sport carnivals keep you healthy along with alot of other things to an it is really good
exercise. I hope I get 1st 2ND or 3rd.
My goal is to not to come last in any of my races.
I love sport so i look forward to the sports carnival an all the athletic stuff.
To me there is no boring bit in sport an i try to stay confident in all i do in sport.

Family History

In term two as our unit 6A has been doing family history from around 20Th century to the 21st century, we had to also put the Australian history into our family history. The thing what I learnt about In this research has been about my family the Hyland from my Mum's Mum's side. I didn't enjoy this unit that much for it took long to complete.

This term (second term) we have been doing family and australian research. The family ive been looking at would be the Hyland's because we were focusing on the 20th centery. The Australian history was immigration that would prove to be useful in this unit. We also saw the effects that happend and why people came over to Australia in that time or not.

cross country 2010

this year in term 2 we had a cross country. if you came atleast 1st-5Th you got into districts and if you came 6th-10th you got into the reserve side, so if you got into 10th spot you would take over the 5th postion in the cross country districts. a cross country is a run that is mostly a bit of km (depending on age you can with stand). i came 10th in the race the race was 3km (kilometers) . i was racing against the 11s mostly grade six.

soccer

this Friday we are finally doing the gala day at the Beenleigh soccer club. there are also rugby and netball but not near the soccer field. there are 3 teams in soccer. 6and 7 team,6 team and a 7 team. all the people playing soccer don't know what team there in at the gala day. i do soccer our teacher for soccer is mr armstrong (my teacher).

This year our year 6 and 7 classes are doing something called gala Day. Its were teachers and students pick one sport , soccer,rugby,netball. We do the sport for 2 terms , we participate in the sport we choose. I chose soccer , we do easy drills like passing and teamwork.

swimming

This week our class, 6a has been doing swimming. At beenleigh swimming pool near st Josephs school. There is three groups called whales,dolphins and sharks. I'm in dolphins the middle group. 6a do swimming at 12:30 till 1:00 pm. we have 28 kids in 6a who goes swimming. in my group is Ella,Kehlan,kartiha,kalyne,Jarod,tyler,James,Tess and me lachlan.
